Paris FC's winger claims the UNFP trophy after a blistering start to the season. A reward that caps off some truly exceptional displays.
It's official: Ilan Kebbal is Ligue 1's player of the month for August. The French Professional Football Union (UNFP) has spoken, with our 27-year-old Algerian international beating PSG's João Neves and Lyon's Tyler Morton to the prize. The award comes on top of his goal of the month accolade for that stunning curled effort into the top corner at Marseille - one we'll never forget.
Back in the big time with a bang
After his brief stint at Reims during the 2021/2022 campaign, Ilan Kebbal has returned to French football's top flight wearing our colors. And what a comeback it's been! Our winger wasted no time proving he belongs at this level.
At the Vélodrome, despite the defeat, he put in a masterclass with a goal and an assist. That curled strike that found the Marseille top corner will go down in folklore. Then against Metz, he backed it up with a brace that had everyone talking.
Our attacking spearhead
Come Sunday against Strasbourg (3pm), Kebbal will once again be our trump card going forward in this 5th round of Ligue 1 fixtures. Having played a massive part in our promotion last season, he's picking up where he left off and establishing himself as one of the most exciting players in these early weeks.
This individual honor perfectly captures what Paris FC is all about: backing talents who have something to prove. Ilan Kebbal epitomizes that approach, and this UNFP recognition caps off what's been a sensational start to the campaign.
